Through teaching high frequency words, phonics, vocabulary and language skills in the core literacy curriculum (General English) and Native-speaking English teacher programmes (NET), students are equipped with a strong foundation in listening, speaking, reading and writing, as well as grammar knowledge, generic skills, values and attitudes.

 4. Development of Text Sets (DTS)
    DTS is a real-life literacy programme coordinated with the NET section of the EDB with the goal of investigating the design and use of text sets to enhance students' literacy development. The design/development of text sets is in line with the latest trend of curriculum development in Hong Kong, especially the focus on promoting reading across curriculum (RaC), e-learning, self-directed learning and effective assessment strategies.

 

5. Readers Programme
    It is important for children to learn English in an authentic and meaningful context to understand how the language is used in real-life. As such, we introduce famous readers in both General English and NET lessons to teach students how toappreciate language art and increase their motivation to readat primary level.

6. NET Programmes
    Native-speaking English teachers (NETs) help model English forstudents while also provide them with ample opportunities topractise English communication naturally and confidently everyday at school. Teaching focuses emphasize on sharpening students' presentation, discussion and debating skillsprogressively.
